The app is more than I expected, but lacking one feature I was hoping for: to collect my own favorite quotes.

Overall the app is fantastic especially with the screen saver option, however, it would be really nice if I could choose my own quotes

Essentially this app is a collection of inspirational and thought provoking quotations, delivered in a relaxing and delicate manner. I wasnt expecting much out of this app but it truely surprised me! This app is great if you are on break, collecting thoughts before setting out to do a task, wanting motivation or wanting to relax. Its free and theres no profile creating process to use this app. The only issue I have with this app is the text and symbols they use for Facebook, Twitter, etc. are not modified for retina displays so they are a bit fuzzy if you are using an Apple retina product, such as my 15in Retina Macbook Pro.

This is a wonderful app. It needs to include the ability to add your own quotes. With that in place, it would be a 5 star app.

i dont know why, but this app just wont open for me! it wants me to buy the 1.99 version, so i press remind me later…NOTHING HAPPENS AFTER THAT! i am so confused.

It used to my favoritea pps. After upgrading to Maverick, it crashed every time: I can see the startup windows, then it crashed. Too sad about it.

This was hands down one of my favorite apps on my macbook. I’ve spent most of my time in the past 2 yrs working on my laptop (typing my life away!) case notes.. intakes... assessments… I was very stressed out & overwhelmed with all the course work, plus my (unpaid) internship consumed a great portion of my time & energy; there was no sight of ever being done! Forismatic helped me zone out, and reflect on myself rather than my woes… The «Break Mode» was designed for people to take 10.. you HAVE to relieve eyestrain when working on a computer for hours and hours! It was set up perfectly: users were ‘given permission to stop for a bit & personally I found the motivational quotes to be very therapeutic (encouraging!) You chose the duration of each quote, & you were also being timed but starting AT 0:00, which technically ENCOURAGED people to disengage themselves from stress, who else can you say does that!?! PLEASE fix it! I NEED it back for my sanity, Im graduating in December! The icing on top: a link was provided for people who wished to learn more about the author.

It used to work up until the upgrade to Mavericks. Very useful app when it worked, now useless.

I first installed it and it crashed. When it said fixed crash for 10.6, I thought it would be alright but, it still crashes. Once you open it, a small window will appear and vanish, and the app is useless afterwards-doesn’t even open!

Seemed like just what I was looking for, but crashes immediately on launch on Mavericks.

I really loved this application due to its simplicity, the quotes that I found inspiring, as well as the relaxation mode that allows one to step back away from the digital world we live in and take a break to relax. It just was really a brilliant application. It helped me relax and “chill out” in times of stress, anxiety and other types of not so great feelings. However, the developers are gone and have abandoned Forismatic it seems, and don’t seem to care about this application. I just find it a bit dismaying to see such a great application that I (and many others love) become neglected. It works for everything below OS 10.9.x, but it no longer works for me since I upgraded to this new operating system. I guess I just find a great deal of Frustration for a service one pays for, and when it is made so well, with a simple concept, it remains neglected to a huge extent and now I have to give it only 1 star.

Just downloaded this because it seemed like a nice addition and I can’t even get it to open. I’m sure it’s great when it runs but I don’t even know what this application even LOOKS like. What they heck, man ):

I heard great reviews of this app, and as a lover of Vox, I decided to give it a try. I downloaded it and when I try to open the app, it keeps crashing! I guess I’m not the only one having trouble with this problem, so please fix. I would like to try using this app one day.

I saw this app, and I thought it looked like a nice app. Considering it was free, I figured I would give it a try. Found out that it doesn’t work in OS X Mavericks. It just makes a space in the menu bar (no icon or anything), and then it disappears. Nothing else. I will change the amount of stars once it is updated for Mavericks and I have tried it. I was looking forward to this and it doesn’t work…

I’ve used this app many times, & I love it! However, since the last update, it won’t open on my 2011 Macbook Pro running 10.10.1. When it works again I’ll change my review. =(

So apparently, this app is no longer worker or supported. Shouldn’t someone make a note that it DOESN’T work with OS X 10.6 and later?? and also that there is no longer support? Geez!
